Looking at the various Community Relations examinations as well as interviews with members of the Idaho Steelheads Organization, you can see how important community relations are for any organization. The community relations efforts put forth by all the professional sports leagues and organizations discussed come together to display the unity community outreach brings to an organization. As sports leagues grow and change, so should their efforts to better the community that supports them. While all the leagues discussed have good community relations strategies in place, they could do more to improve upon and expand their efforts. Professional sports is a fact-paced ever-changing industry that needs to adapt to every situation and every department. They are a prime example of how other organizations should display and run their community relations departments, as an adaptable and reliable system of events, initiatives, and programs.

If you do not become an integral part of the community in which you belong, you are not relevant, on any level.
The interviewee's in this process also explain the importance of reaching out to the community that has supported you. As Rocci Johnson put it in our interview, "If you do not become an integral part of the community in which you belong, you are not relevant, on any level." If you cannot support or help the community that you are part of, why would they want to support your organization or business? While small or big, and community relations efforts will benefit your organization and the community for the better. Through these interviews and community relations examinations, I hope that you have been able to understand the importance of having community relations plans or strategies in effect. I hope these have brought you some insight into the world that is community relations.
